New Henrik & Joel Lundqvist Interview

ShareThis

During the summer, Henrik Lundqvist has been in Sweden and Gothenburg where he co-operated with brother Joel and Frölunda. Joel has signed a new three-year contract with Frölunda and Henrik are charging for a new season in the NHL with the New York Rangers.

"The players get better, they shoot better and now think how they should not only score goals but also create a second and third situation on how goalkeepers play and go down. Then you do not want to be like a robot and play the same all the time, says Henrik Lundqvist about the recent development of ice hockey in recent years.

The twins turned 35 earlier this year. Joel recently signed a new three-year contract with the Gothenburg club, which he is doing his 15th season together with. Even he, as an outsider, has been included in the ice hockey development.

"For another, it's open to change and take care of it and maybe new ways to work out. Mobility is an important part and that's no-one known for being a yoga instructor right away, he says, and the brothers laugh.
