Henrik Lundqvist stopped all 21 shots he faced to earn his 20th win of the season and the 394th win of his NHL career, as well as his 61st career NHL shutout. Lundqvist is the first goaltender in NHL history who has registered at least 20 wins in each of his first 12 seasons in the league. Lundqvist is the 10th goaltender in NHL history who has earned at least 20 wins in 12 or more seasons, joining Patrick Roy (17), Martin Brodeur (16), Ed Belfour (15), Tony Esposito (13), Chris Osgood (13), Grant Fuhr (12), Curtis Joseph (12), Roberto Luongo (12), and Rogie Vachon (12) as the only goaltenders to accomplish the feat. Lundqvist's 12 consecutive 20-win seasons are tied for the most in NHL history (Brodeur - 12 straight from 1995-96 - 2007-08; Esposito - 12 straight from 1969-70 - 1980-81). In addition, Lundqvist is one of three goaltenders who have earned 20 or more wins in at least 12 seasons with one franchise (Brodeur - New Jersey; Esposito - Chicago), and he is the only goaltender in Rangers history who has earned 20 wins in 12 seasons with the franchise. He earned his 20th win in his rookie season 11 years ago today (Jan. 22, 2006 vs. New Jersey). Lundqvist made his 719th career NHL appearance in today's contest, tying Olaf Kolzig for 22nd place on the NHL's all-time appearances list. He is the Rangers' all-time leader in appearances. In his last eight appearances against the Red Wings (dating back to Mar. 21, 2012), Lundqvist has posted a 6-1-1 record, along with a 1.10 GAA, a .960 SV%, and 4 SO.
